Ok, we hear it all the time in Warré-land.
Emile developed his hive for the climate he was in. The french climate. The southern french climate.
What exactly is the climate of southern France, anyway?

Ideal climate: The climate in Toulouse is temperate: like the climate throughout Southern France, it is very pleasant. Winters are mild, summers are long and hot, the autumns are sunny.
Although today it's actually warmer here in coastal Virginia than it is in sourthern France. I've heard that generally coastal Virginia is actually a good analog of the climate there.
The winters in Missouri are much colder with more snow than southern France.
